Re: Elystar not charging part 2
---Previous message:--- : ---Previous message:--- : : : What do I do? Take the scoot to another dealer? : : 1. : Your national importer is supposed to have a helpdesk for local dealers. Has your dealer already contacted them? Yes, and he can now order and change parts on my scooter and return them to the importer if the parts doesn't solve the problem. (Normally he would have to buy every part he orders). : : 2. : My suggestion would be to ask your dealer. One month is a ridiculous long persiod of time. : He says he checked several parts and found them OK. So, simply ask him what he is going to do now to solve the problem. If he shrugs and doesn't know, ask him what he thinks you should do. : : Not being a mechanic, I may be wrong, but...a scooter battery not charging can't be difficult to solve. Simply replace everything that has to do with the charging of the battery and see if that solves the problem: change the battery, the cables towards the battery, the regulator and the flywheel. Could it be that the power someway "ends up the wrong place" - some bad wires or so??? : : : [Of course, he could solve the problem by offering you another scooter. You could even put him under some pressure by mentioning that he seems to be incompetent and your national consumer support organization would like to hear about such cases.] I think my local dealer does everything he can. And yes, a month is a long period of time. But I prefer that he is the one working on my scooter, so it's probably just the way it is.
But still, it's annoying because I don't know what is going to happen. Do I have a scooter - yes or no? If he can't fix it, I think I'm going after the national importer for bad support. Thanks for the advice
